Introduction
In this section, we explain how to connect to blockchain applications using a Google, Discord or Facebook account, and how to interact with apps after connecting. We also explain how to stay safe while using the blockchain and how to buy crypto if you need it.
Don’t panic; you don’t need to know anything about blockchain or crypto to start using blockchain apps. There’s nothing for you to download or set up, either.
This is thanks to NuFiConnect: a service that enables anybody to connect to blockchain apps simply by logging in with a social account like Google.
How does it work?
First, it’s important to know that blockchain apps require a user to have a crypto wallet in order to connect. Setting up a wallet can be near-impossible (not to mention risky) if you don’t know what you’re doing.
NuFiConnect solves this problem: it creates a secure crypto wallet for you and connects you to the app automatically. All you need to do is log in.
Your wallet – created for you in the background – is a self-custody crypto wallet, meaning it’s completely private and only you have access to the funds inside it.
After you’ve logged in and connected to an app, you’ll see an easy-to-use wallet interface in the corner of the screen which lets you interact with an app and approve actions, manage tokens, buy crypto, and more.
Important: if you lose access to your social account’s login credentials (or if your social account is suspended or deleted), you will not be able to log in to your wallet and it will be impossible to access any of the funds inside it. We recommend that you back up your wallet as shown here.
